Auto Tab Groups AKA Tab Matching

Hi!
Simple idea that would be very nice to have, adding a setting to the tab groups to match opened tab's URLs and automatically move that tab in the tab group.
What do you think? Is it in the scope of this mod or should I just look for a ff extension to do it ? it'd just be nice to not have to install another extension I guess

tbh i would like to keep the gemini option cause its just good. i will look into firefox ai. Also if u r using local models isnt it better to pregroup? would be too harsh on lowend machines?

I understand keeping that. For some reason, no, it uses embedding and sorts them by vectorization, then I use another model (the one used for group naming usually) to add the names to the groups

tested your script. since its using the firefox ai it took 15-20secs to group 10 tabs (most of which were github).
I will see how good embedding can be with more tests. also gonna finish v2 of the plugin first im hoping it will be a significant improvement. will also try to add firefox ai but just a bit doubtful about it.
The main reason i liked my plugin over Arcs (since it also uses some native ai from chrome) was it was way fasterr. 2-3 secs over 15sec

@Darsh-A its odd it was that slow... Run it again after the initial (it has to download the model) it should be able to do it instantly

One thing is that it creates the new tab groups with, for example, "youtubecom" as the name, even tho I already have a tab group named YT, so I think it'd be nice for aliases or for it to find a preexisting tab group beforehand. Tho that is a big request haha.

@Anoms12 Nope it's a regular tab group. no weird buttons or behavior, just gBrowser.AddTabGroup.

@Anoms12 Ok I'm going to sleep, will prob drop this and not going to make any revisions as I'm legit tired and don't know what I'm doing when it comes to user scripts. I'd use Gemini more but it's literally useless.
it should work now, the AI is only used when creating new tab groups. It def needs adjusting to have clearer names.
There is proper logging for most stuff, down to the similarity matches when trying to work.

tho I'm quite worried to try the clean button as I like to clean my tabs myself, so I'll prob modify the CSS to hide it

@Darsh-A speed is not an issue for the local model. Download optimization needs to be worked on for the speed of the initial model sorting. Other than that, I feel that this is what we should use?

@Anoms12 working on adding embeddings. but making it better through some nice tweaks. ill be using a local+cloud method so its fast and accurate

@Anoms12 tested the embedding models for a bit. the problem im having is that the names are coming out to be "too generic".

@Anoms12 i thought of maybe having a reassuring step where it checks if the names are too generic if yes then pass it to a cloud ai (gemini or mistral or soemthing). but then again might as well do that from the start
