Kernel Catchyos latest 6.16.1 Display Problems/Flickering & Screenburning #60
Description
Hello today when I booted the new Kernel my display started flicker and screenburning issues appeared, I tested different cables, I also tried to reinstall the specific modules (akmod-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-cuda vulkan-tools vulkan-headers vulkan-loader vulkan-validation-layers) and also tried connecting the display on my laptop that is running catchylts 6.12.41 with no success.
After that I was thinking it was a monitor problem but when I switched back 6.16.0 the issue went away and the monitor working correctly at 165hz without any of the prior problems that I mentioned.
I tested the newest kernel on another desktop with Intel CPU with AMD GPU and the problem didn't occur on this particular device.
Also note, I am using Nvidia 1080Ti Strix 11gb (Driver Version: 575.64.05), which could be the problem maybe, that's why I'm making this post for other Nvidia users and to let the developer/s or maintainers know of this problem.
