Make Audioscrobbler cache play history

In Foobar when using the audioscrobbler plug-in and you're not connected to the internet, it caches the history of songs played while offline, and then submits those to the connected last.fm account when you connect to the web.
In Deepbeef, that's not the behavior/implementation of the plug-in. It only works as an online scrobble submitter. Is there a way to give it its full capabilities?

So I don't know if I can write the code just yet. If I do write it, how do I incorporate it into the application? Just building and make-installing it like we do plugins right now?

I didn't mean that you need to do it. I just directly answer that the way to add this capability is to write more code.
Me and other devs are aware of that issue, it's a matter of priorities. There's always something that's more important than this.

I don't know how difficult/complicated or tedious it will be writing the code that implements this, nor do I know what's already in the pipeline that are higher prioritized.
I just hope you can add it to the pipeline; and if it's not something that will be too much work, you could just elevate its priority a bit (:

I wish I had the knowledge to do something like this, but um, we're working on that ;)
For what it's worth, I hope to see that implemented coz it's the one of 2 things that I feel are my biggest bug bears.

The other is how the Queue is implemented. I know that this also is implemented the same way in Neutron music player, and Foobar. But I prefer the way Spotify, and Poweramp implemented their Queue. In DBeef, the Q is played but playback doesn't resume from where it left off. In Foobar, I got a plug-in Playlist Attributes that implemented it the "correct" way (which is after Q is complete, play is continued from where it last left off before entering the Q).

In Foobar Playlist Attributes solved that for me. Spotify already do it the right way. Only Deadbeef left.

You should post a feature request about queue, potentially with more details (I don't know how it's implemented in other players).
I thought playback queue is working in Deadbeef very similarly to how it works in Foobar2000, but surely there can be some differences. I never heard of Playlist Attributes component though.

If I didn't have anything else to do, maybe. Unfortunately most of the time something more important comes up (including now).
