Instead of using android.scaler.cropRegion for zoom, the application can now choose to use this tag to specify the desired zoom level.

Add CONTROL_ZOOM_RATIO
By using this control, the application gains a simpler way to control zoom, which can be a combination of optical and digital zoom.

Rework of the camera support is scheduled to start mid to late November (no guarantees though - it may end up being after the end of the year). Zoom control is something that may be considered.
