IRIs do not resolve to Planteome, but to 404-like page on Ontobee

Hi!

TO is such a beautiful project! I am considering a move towards plant ontologies (coming from a Cell Ontology background) because of the strength of Brazilian herbaria :).

Anyways, I clicked on a particular term (serrate leaf margin) http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/TO_0006063 and the IRI resolved to Ontobee,

It could perhaps resolve to Planteome browser, where the term seems available:

https://browser.planteome.org/amigo/term/TO:0006063

I saw that there was #506, but apparently not resolved yet.

Perhaps a good fix would be adding a custom "term_browser" for Planteome on https://github.com/OBOFoundry/purl.obolibrary.org,

This could be done both for PO and TO:

Thanks so much for your kind words and interest in the Plant Trait Ontology. We are actively working to make it a valuable tool for plant scientists all around the world.

I appreciate and share your frustration with the purls that link to OntoBee- this has been an ongoing issue for some time.

You can see this was discussed on the OntoBee tracker some time ago. OntoZoo/ontobee#204

I am not sure if we can change the configuration of the PURLs, but we will look into it.

Feel free to browse the TO at https://planteome.org/ , https://github.com/Planteome/plant-trait-ontology or any of the other ontology sites such as https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols4/ontologies

Hi, @cooperl09 , thank you for the answer! We had a similar issue in the Cell Ontology a while ago.

It should be somewhat straightforward to change the redirect of PURLs; I'd be happy to help if needed.

CL classes, for example http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/CL_0000542, resolve to OLS, which has been more stable than Ontobee recently.

We are working on a solution to this for all four of our ontologies and it should be fixed in the next week or so.
