Telescope Control on SteamOS

Hello!
I am trying to install and use Stellarium on a Steam Deck (it's the only portable "PC" I have) to control a motorized telescope but it appears the plugin is not available in the Flatpack distribution. I also tried using it as an AppImage but it returns an error when I try to run it.
Do I have any other options besides building from source?
Is there a particular reason for the plugin to not be available in Flatpack?
