Thanks! Yes, the Fox in a Box v4 Beta is out as Ground Station software for the Raspberry Pi 4 or 5. It still has a few small issues, but they will get worked out. The new image partially supports the RTL-SDR v4 ISB dongle, but unfortunately FoxTelem does not yet support it. So I recommend still using the v3 dongle. Alan |

It pays to read the AMSAT Journal. I just read about the new Fox in a Box ver 4 and was very pleased to see it ran on a Pi5. Earlier this year, I set up a new pi5 in a box that had a little fan and applied all the heatsinks. I wanted to see how Pi5 worked and of course, it worked very well. Then I set it aside. Today it became my new V4 ground station. I used Balena Etcher to flash the ISO file and all went well. I use the RTL-SDR.com V3 but I'm going to see what I need to do to use my new V4 SDR. As described, its a "plug and go" process. I notice its running Pi Bookworm. It took only a few seconds to get it on my Wifi. Well done!
