Heya,
I recently upgraded my gaming PC with some ambilight. I cheaped out on the controller part and got a Arduino Nano Knockoff to run Adalight and control my ~250 LEDs (in hindsight yes thats a tad much). With Hyperion i rarely got more then 10+ fps on the LEDS and with HyperHDR i easily get ~30 and thats making me a big fan of this fork :)
However i run into this issue that the ambilight inevitably causes my PC to freeze every few hours - the RAM gets eaten up like its nothing. From my limited testing this doesnt happen with Hyperion, however as i said before i like HyperHDRs serial controller implementation way more since its a lot smoother.
My pc has 32 GB RAM and whenever the freeze hits HyperHDR uses 99% of that. Then i cant close it by any means (taskmanager, admin cmd kill) until i unplug the arduino nano. Afterwards ive still got to close HyperHDR to start it again and everything will run normally again for the next few hours. Now this is just a tiny inconvinience but i thought id just ask your opinion on the matter - is it really HyperHDR or is it something with Adalight? I dont find much on my specific problem online...
