Hi first time asking for help here, but I've tried everything to make this work but have had no luck. Whats annoying is that i had it all working about 3 months ago, but i had an issue with the SD card on the Pi and haven't been able to make it work since. Hopefully i have included everything required below. Please let me know if there is anything that i need to add. I can get everything showing up in HyperHDR, I can get to the web interface, i can see an image from the image capture device, i have setup the LED instance, connected the Adafruit ItsyBitsy to the PI via USB (after flashing the correct firmware to it - HyperSerialPico_ws2812.uf2), connected the LEDs (ws2812) to the correct pin on the itsybitsy (GPIO14). Please help me find what i've missed. HyperHDR logsHyperhdr Screenshots

@awawa-dev firstly thanks for replying!! fantastic software. But yeah, thats what i thought to everything should be all ok. Ground is connected to pin 2 of the itsy bitsy. Excuse the mess of wires: 
All grounds are connected together. My only other thought is the LED power supply. It was a cheap one (it terminates in a barrel connector and the adjoining connector has been quite casually made, so will look into finding another 5V 20Amp PSU and try that. I'll update with the outcome 👍 |

166 ws2812 LEDs? For that many LEDs, that 5V 20A power supply is overkill; I think it's well under 10A ;-) I need more detailed photos, and for you, please use a multimeter to make sure you have the 5V and that there's a connection between GPIO14/GND and the data line/GND on the LED strip (multimeter continuity mode on both points, on Pico you can take it from the other side of the board if that pin is occupied by a jumper wire). . |

Finally, got to the root of the issue!! As suggested i did use a multimeter, and found that there was no power getting to the LEDs. The cause of this was the barrel jack adapter that is being used to break out the barrel jack into wire terminals. There was no continuity between the negative side of this connection, between the outer ring and the negative terminal. This was resolved by cutting the barrel jack off the PSU and wiring all the wires directly via wago connectors. Now the LED strip is receiving 5v and as soon as the Pi was powered back on every worked immediately and exactly as intended. Perfect! Thank you for your help and suggestions on this. I will mark this as answered :) |
