• Installed Piccap on my LG CX
• Intalled Hyperhdr and did all NV12 setup

What is expected?

Get an error: The LUT file is not loaded. A new LUT was requested. It usually takes less than a minute
I tried to run lut calibration but Piccap crashes because it's too much heavy to produce 1280x720 screen capture.

Leave it alone for a few minutes – the slower your hardware, the longer it will take. When you first run HyperHDR, a LUT is dynamically created in your home folder.

Thanks for the guide that i already read i forgot how many times. So i finally have been able to create lut files after trying again again and again and i don't know why it finally worked. Anyway. I compressed it at maximum 17 and put them on the folder.

I guess this is the appropriate place for this hyperhdr bug, right ?

nope, piccap is handling switching lut tables depending on the mode. beside your luts naming is wrong. from @satgit62 script:

Thanks to the implementation of a new ZSTD compression process by @awawa-de, compressed LUTs are now permitted and available without any loss of quality. They are automatically detected and applied in real time.

Imho some details are missing from both guides and would prevent you from being bothered by people like me if it was present in it.

I made a mistake here (not in the guide) because I used a script for Webos that used uncompressed LUTs, but there's also another that uses compressed ones. Webos is a specific system, with Picaap, which uses its own capture engine with undocumented formats (e.g., captured SDR is no longer SDR after being captured by Webos). What I could do, I did by analyzing such frames (e.g., introducing NV12 to HyperHDR), but don't ask me about the nuances of installing on that system – you have a dedicated Discord for that, where the whole PicCap story began and developed. I think that's a fair suggestion.

Hello, I can only think of the “Instant Game Response” (IGR) or the game mode on LG as a possible source of error.

When "Instant Game Response" is enabled on LG TVs, HyperHDR may not be able to load the correct LUT because this feature blocks access to certain picture settings. This is because “Instant Game Response” puts the TV into a special gaming mode that is optimized for low latency and restricts the adjustment of many picture parameters - including PicCap video capture and the associated LUT table.

This has been reported and confirmed by owners of LG C9 and CX series devices. When this option is disabled, the NV12 is recognized immediately and the corresponding LUT with the "index 1 for HDR YUV" is loaded correctly.

If you have installed the HyperHDR version from my new guide, the compressed and uncompressed LUTs will be installed in the correct directories and the corresponding symlinks will be set.
