Issue with Washed-Out Colors in HyperHDR + Piccap Setup

Setup Details:

• TV: LG C4
• Apps Installed: HyperHDR and Piccap (via Homebrew channel for webOS)
• LED Strip: SK6812 (configured via "LED Hardware" and "LED Layout")
• Source:
  • PC (via Piccap): Colors appear washed out
  • Home Assistant: Produces vibrant and amazing colors
• Operating System: Windows 11 with HDR enabled

The Problem:

When using Piccap with my PC as the video source, colors on the LED strip appear very washed out. However, when controlled through Home Assistant, the colors are vibrant and accurate.

Steps Taken:

1. Configured the LED strip hardware and layout in HyperHDR.
2. Verified functionality with both the screen grabber and Home Assistant.

Observations:

• PC Source (Piccap): Washed-out colors, likely due to incorrect color calibration or HDR settings.
• Home Assistant: Excellent color reproduction.

Potential Clues:

• I'm aware of NV12 and LUT (Look-Up Table) calibration as part of color tuning discussions.

Questions:

1. Do I need to switch to the version of HyperHDR from the above repository? Is it better than the Homebrew channel version?
2. What is the recommended approach to achieve vibrant colors, similar to Home Assistant?
3. Does HDR on Windows 11 affect Piccap’s output, and how should I configure HyperHDR to handle this?
