How can I rollback new updates made Omarchy unstable, cannot switch workspace, or type, mouse flickering

I was on version 1.4.8 or something and i updated today to the latest vrsion 1.5.x new updates and now after sometime the Omarchy (hyprland/waybar) stop me from switching to differnet workspaces, mouse flickering etc

There's no rollback. Let's find out what your problem is and roll forward. Try omarchy-update all, then restart.

Ok doing that now, and will post dmesg or other issues, for now only issue is that hyprlock crashes after i leave the pc for itself (blank scren with mouse)

@al3rez When you say hyprlock crashes are you coming back to a machine that is in a frozen state after it goes to sleep? Are you seeing issues similar to: #26

@ryanyogan I did omarch-update all, and so far there are no issues. I'll report dmesg and other logs if it happens again—it has occurred a few times (flaky).

Steps:

1. Suspend the system
2. Turn on the computer after a while
3. Hyprlock crashes
4. Two possible outcomes:
   • You get a Hyprlock crash screen telling you to restart using another TTY
   • Or a black screen with just the mouse cursor—no windows, nothing. When you restart, it briefly shows the Hyprlock crash screen

As for the freezing/flickering mouse issue: it happened while I was using Inkscape and had multiple terminal sessions running Claude code. Suddenly, workspace switching stopped working and I couldn't move the mouse.

   input method conflicts.
2. [ERR] onWindowRemovedTiling node null? - Appears 29 times. This suggests issues with window management in tiled layouts.
3. [ERR] [xwm] xcb error: xcb-errors API misuse - Multiple XWayland errors related to RealVNC viewer.
4. [WARN] Warning: you're using an NVIDIA GPU - Standard warning for NVIDIA users.
5. [WARN] [xwm] CXWM::onNewSurface: no matching xwaylandSurface - XWayland surface matching issues.

The main culprit appears to be the keyboard state tracking error combined with virtual keyboard creation/destruction from fcitx5. Try:

• killall fcitx5 to stop the input method
• hyprctl reload to reload config
• Check if you have any key remapping tools running

Thank you for this, quick house-keeping questions:

• Do you have multiple monitors installed?
• If you shutdown the system and start it up, the state is okay?
• If you put the system to sleep, or wait the 5 minutes after the lock, and move the mouse (any wake-up method), you are in a bad state?
• Have you made any changes to your nvidia drivers, or installed any packages to configure your system?
• Have you made any personal customization to your Omarchy configuration?
• Any niche hardware such as an external trackpad, fancy mouse, etc...?

Mouse: I have a ELCOM EX-G mous ball mouse <- could be this?
No I haven't done any customization nor I installed any driver, this is on a fresh PC (on my laptop is ok)

Ok it's unbreable I switched back to i3wm for now, until this is patched or something, will keep you guys posted.

Hey, I'm having issues after updating omarchy recently, After running the omarchy-update command while updating the screen went blank with only a cursor also the application launcher stopped working. And no matter how many times I reboot It doesn't work. Please Help Me!!

You can run Ctrl + Alt + F2 to start a new tty, then you can inspect config files etc, and see what changed. You can try to start Hyprland from there and see if you get any error messages.
