Over the years, I've acquired a few more printers, but I do come back to my SV06 every-so-often for small part prints. It's been a long time since I've updated anything, so I started from scratch from bassamantor's newest instructions. I was nearly complete with configuring the printer but all of a sudden I kept getting "MCU temp out of range" errors.
I tried everything including starting over again to no avail. After some Googling, I ended up ordering a new hot plate. After installation, I kept getting the same error.
Frustrated, I looked at bassamantor's "everything Sovol" page and noticed on the motherboard diagram that my hotplate was plugged into the wrong port on the motherboard. Prior to installing the new plate, I took some photos and ensured to plug the new plate into the same port. It turns out that the hot plate was plugged into the wrong port from the factory. When I upgraded the firmware, something didn't mesh and threw the error.
If you run into this issue, check to make sure the connections are hooked into the correct port before ordering new parts. At least I now have a backup hotplate if I ever need it.
