Problem with last step.

Ive been having troubles with the last step, which is connecting the mcu to my raspberry pi 4 B, i have followed all instructions from start to finish multiple times but keep getting the same screen with:

Klipper reports:

STARTUP
Printer is not ready
The klippy host software is attempting to connect. Please
retry in a few moments.

My printer is a sv06 and as far as I know there wasnt any issues with flashing the klipper.bin stuff into the printer. What is the problem here?

Try lsing the path by id instead.

This is what I get, but prior to this attempt, it would give me a valid string that looked like this:
pi@klip:~/printer_data/config $ ls /dev/serial/by-id/*
/dev/serial/by-id/usb-1a86_USB_Serial-if00-port0

And this is what I have been using in my printer.cfg file on mainsail, im not sure why I cant ls it anymore.

If you can't ls the mcu/printer motherboard, then you won't be able to connect to it. No reason why it would work before and not now, unless you specifically change groups or something along those lines. Seems like a faulty cable.

I did change my cable for this attempt, but in the prior attempts, with a good working cable, when I did manage to ls to the mcu (and it gave me a valid response), it would still not work even with the valid path and good cable. Would still show me the "printer is not ready" dialogue

Impossible to move forward unless you're able to ls the mcu.

Post details about the klipper host, updates, etc.

Alright, I will work with klipper some more tomorrow and start from scratch again, I'll update if anything goes wrong.

Alright, this morning Ive followed all of the steps to a tee, and even managed to succesfully ls the mcu:
pi@klip:~/printer_data/config $ ls /dev/serial/by-id/* /dev/serial/by-id/usb-1a86_USB_Serial-if00-port0

But even after updating printer.cfg i get the same:
KLIPPER reports STARTUP:
Printer is not ready
The klippy host software is attempting to connect. Please
retry in a few moments.

I really am not sure where I am going wrong with this...

Also, when I do ls /dev/serial/by-path/* I get this output:
/dev/serial/by-path/platform-fd500000.pcie-pci-0000:01:00.0-usb-0:1.1:1.0-port0

And when I plug that into my printer.cfg and restart, it gives me the same message with the "printer not being ready".

Also, while watiting to get the same messae again, this is what displays:

Here is the current setup, the printer is on, the main power supply to the host (raspberry pi 4, 1gb) is my laptops usb-c port, and the microusb cable is connected to the printer which is on (I did disable the 5V pin on the usb cable)

It also seems as though ALOT of the packages can be updated in the update manager:

I recommend reflashing the motherboard at this point. Follow the instructions to a T.

How did you install Klipper, kiauh?

I followed the repository instructions exactly, unless I misunderstood something?, I installed klipper through the mainsail OS when writing the raspberry pi SD card. I have reflashed the motherboard when doing today's attempt, but it still does not work for some reason?

Is this still the case?

Also show me the output from lsusb, put it in codeblocks, as well as the [mcu] section.

Run sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade --yes && sudo reboot now. After it reboots, check for updates again in mainsail and update everything.

This is the sd card I am flashing with:

I insert the card into the printer with the uniquely named file.bin, then I turn on the printer, give it 1-2 minutes, then I turn off the printer, and take out the SD card am I doing anything wrong?
