If moving away from textual is an already established direction where is that documented? In a quick issue search I didn't find anything.

If this ADR isn't on its way to real adoption it should probably say something about being deprecated.

Yes - I agree with this. We need to revisit, but it doesnt seem like TEXTUAL has really had any adoption
