EU Payment Wallet questionnaire

I recently posted this "questionnaire" on LinkedIn.

The EU Payment Wallet* project spurs a lot of questions, but does [currently] not provide many answers:
🔸Is it "better" than Apple Pay and EPI?
🔸Who is responsible for the associated Open Banking API?
🔸Will it support gas station payments?
🔸Will it support e-Receipts?
🔸Will it build on an intermediary-based infrastructure as used by the card networks?
🔸Will there be a unified payment solution, or will the EU pilots rather be competitors?
🔸Will it work for any account based payment network?
🔸Will it be published as Open Source?
🔸Will it support P2P payments?
🔸How is the wallet and associated infrastructure specs. to be managed?
🔸How is the wallet software to be managed?
🔸Will EU Banks (and Merchants) be forced to support it?
🔸How do you join the party?

*) there is no EU Payment Wallet but [presumably] a wallet with payment capability.

🔸 Are online and POS payments using the same protocol(s)?
worth noting: Apple Pay does not.
