Feature request: Replace the Search box with preloaded (or lazily loaded) multi choose selections in the FilterPanels

I gonna say this filter item is kinda counterintuitive, as others may last all possible selections and let users to check on them instead of searching.

I am using this project the first time today and it took me a long time trying to figure out why the author filter does not work as I expect it to do. I had to went through the code to find out there is a search box which will trigger the author list search. Yes, I did not even saw the search box in the dark mode.

If we do not want to introduce check boxes, at least we can consider first fix the accessibility in dark mode, and maybe alter the style of the panel to make it more "compacted"
