Missing terrain / aerial imagery

When viewing the samples here I don't get any aerial imagery / terrain. Instead I get a 403 error with dev.virtualearth.net

I experience the same outcome in the sample application created here

You are missing a valid bing maps key. If you have a valid existing bing maps key available, you can replace the BING_MAPS value in common/MapLayerOptions.ts of the sandbox sample.
With Bing Maps being deprecated, we can't generate new api keys however. We'll look towards updating the viewer and our samples to use Google Maps imagery, it'll take some time and we will allocate resources for that soon

So there are no plans to update the samples to provide a valid existing key, they will just be updated to Google Maps? For example, I still have a valid one in my display test app configuration (although not sure that exact one can be used for these public samples)

Yes, the PR has been merged, not sure if it can go through the full release pipeline today, but it'll be out next week

Hello thanks for your patience, the sandbox has been updated and the map layers are showing now.
