Are you planning to add the DT family later for grid export limitation? Or are there plans to add a disconnect from from mains function to allow disabling when prices are negative? Or is there a physical limitation on the USB/LAN interface for the DT family? Thank you in advance |

Thank you in advance" I would also like an answer to this, I have a Goodwe GW8K DT inverter and a SEC1000 energy controller, which is currently unusable. |

It works fine with a DT. I am using it with a GW8K DT. It has been a while but I believe that jou need to enable the function in the menu on the inverter. |

It is no longer exposed as service, but as a "configuration" entity accessible from the device detail (as long as the inverter supports it). |

Only way I found is to do it on the inverter itself. After this, it was corrected in HA. I think there is no way yet to do it in the integration itself, so watch out. |

Actually I have looked at the data and it seems the grid export limit may be modbus register at address 0x9D90. |

Yes I am able to edit it via Solar go. I must give it a try with sniffing. Would be no problem if I go via router but I had impression that if I appear from routed network my admin access is denied. I'll play with it. BTW - solar go requests admin pwd for some changes, maybe this is why? |

In PvMaster the password is checked only at the application level, the communication seems to be open, so I expect the same for SolarGo. |

I looked at SolarGo but can't find any option related to export limit. I believe if I sniff I should sniff while modifying this option. Do you know where this option belong in SolarGo? |

I've just release v0.9.6, the MS inverter should be able to set the grid export limit there. |

I've just had an EH installed, and noted the export limit adjustment. However it did nothing until the installer set export limit to active using the StorageMate app. Once he had done that, the slider affected export |

Actually I would like to have that option too as when the power limit is on the inverter has higher consumption and imports when there is no solar production. |

I got this export-limit functional on my GW6K-DT inverter.
Now I'm able to use the Grid export limit slider in HomeAssistant. I believe the slider represents a percentage of it's maximum power. Since this can be set via the mobile app/web-socket I would expect that this should also be possible via the HA intergration. Setup:

@dennisvbussel I guess my issue is the version of the inverter. You have a SDT G2 and mine is a SDT (G1), which looks like doesn't have this option. |

@TomStarren Did you ever get the export limit working on your inverter? I had a GW5000-DT which is also red. I'm about to decide if I should buy the wifi module, but mainly for that export limit function. |

Thanks for your reply! Than I'll get my hopes down and not invest more in the wifi dongle. If anyone unexpectedly does get a export limit to function on a red DT series inverter do let me know... |

Hi all I have an 8500-ms Inverter and trying use the export limit function but each time I try and adjust it I get an illegal data value error I have turned on the power limit option on the inverter itself but still get the error Is there a firmware update on the inverter that is required? Cheers |

Does „limit export power grid“ function limit just the inverter max export power or does the function manage the value at the smart meter and thus taking into considaration the house consumption? |

The percentage set caps the maximum power capability of the inverter to that value in percent of the maximum power. So an 8kW inverter with grid export set to 10% has a maximum power capability of 800W |

Ah, I see. But there is also an absolut cap, see picture. Does this register do the same but just in absolute watts as input? Could somebody try perhaps?

Are you using modbus? What is the problem with the export limit in percent? It is not difficult to calculate the realized maximum power when you know your inverter rating and the export limit setting... If you want to use Modbus in homeassistant look in my homeassistant repo. I also have an algorithm the control to zero on meter or no export at all under certain conditions. I don't know which inverter you have but I have attached an older GoodWe modbus manual which works for quite some goodwe types. |

Modbus TCP would benused with LAN/WLAN 2.0,Stick. I dont have one currently, but interested in the Goodwe. Wanted to check if export limit does work before buying. I don't have an ET, so I cannot tell, but I cannot imagine that the export limit cannot be set with the ET. You only attached 1 PDF, so I cannot say anything about differences. But from the manual in your message, it seems indeed that the limit can be set as power. |

Yes, that's correct.
The Grid export limit can be changed from within HA, with usual disclaimer - use with caution.
It works on ET/EH inverter families, should work on ES/EM inverters and does not work on DT/D-NS family of inverters.
