Did you manage to solve the CORS issue?
Fetch API cannot load https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/place/autocomplete/json?key=AIzaSyB3-5OLCM6fINAJMjD6-DS7vxjCOl9WAOA&input=cai. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://localhost:8888' is therefore not allowed access. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request's mode to 'no-cors' to fetch the resource with CORS disabled.
