Issue Description
The Advanced Review Bottom Bar plugin is interfering with the default keyboard shortcut Shift+A, which should enable the Auto Advance feature during card review.
Environment
- Anki Version: 25.02 (038d85b1)
- Operating System: macOS (latest version as of March 2, 2025)
Steps to Reproduce
- Install and enable the Advanced Review Bottom Bar plugin
- Open a deck with Auto Advance enabled in deck options
- During card review, press Shift+A to toggle Auto Advance
- Observe that the Auto Advance feature does not activate with that keyboard shortcut
Expected Behavior
Pressing Shift+A during review should toggle the Auto Advance feature.
Actual Behavior
The Shift+A keyboard shortcut has no effect. The only way to activate Auto Advance is to click the "More" button in the bottom right corner and then select "Auto Advance" from the menu.
Additional Information
- I have verified that Auto Advance is properly configured in deck options (for subdecks, used "Save to all subdecks").
- When the Advanced Review Bottom Bar plugin is disabled, the Shift+A shortcut works as expected.
- Tested on both macOS and Windows with the same results, confirming this is a plugin-specific issue rather than an OS-related problem.
Troubleshooting Steps Attempted
- Verified deck options configuration
- Tested on different operating systems (macOS and Windows)
- Disabled the plugin to confirm the shortcut works normally without it
This issue significantly impacts my review workflow as I frequently use Auto Advance and having to use the mouse to enable it is cumbersome.
Would appreciate a fix as soon as possible.
Thank you.
