Waveshare ESP32S3-Touch-LCD-2.8 Web IDE USB not working

I just installed Espruino to try and put JS on my ESP32S3 board, but it wouldn't respond to the web IDE, and when I checked the console through the web installer, it keeps spinning on waiting for download after every reset, and no commands go through. <-- user error, ignore

It connects to the IDE, but it gets Unable to retrieve board information. Connection Error? followed by Connected to Web Serial, webserial:27b6:077d (No response from board).

Trying to upload code results in Prompt not detected - upload failed. Trying to recover....

USB doesn't work, but BLE does? Very strange....

You're definitely on the correct baud rate? 115200?
