Set navigation node to open in new browser tab

Hi!
I need to set navigation nodes in some automatically deployed sites to open in new browser tabs. I did not find any functionality for this inside the structure in a template ("IsExternal" does not do anything obvious for me) and I did not find a property with PNP PowerShell I can set this property with. I tried to get values for a property "Target", but that does not seem to exist.
Can anyone tell me, if there is a possibility to change the behavior via (PNP)PowerShell or template modification?
