The badge is not added to README.md

I tested the badge in two different repos and it was not added to README.md.

In the commit the result was this:

I'm doing something wrong?

I guess you took the the implementation from the demo repo . But I need to update the demo repo with the latest changes that I have made.

If you take a look the readme now you will see that all the github related badges has a key with it, like 'gh_license, gh_version, gh_stars' . So you have to use the key codes of the corresponding badges to make it work. You can check the available keys in the README

I updated the badge keys, I'm using only gh_stars for testing. But when I push anything the workflow don't change anything.

It does not generate automatic commit that changes README.md (chore: add badges 🦄).

@Wurthma I have been testing it the whole day now and finally figured out what was wrong. So basically there are two actions running here . First the actual badge it action for the command then the updating the readme itself but I don't remember why, I added a redundant peace of code in the project long time ago which was only causing to stop the action flow after running only one action so the updating part never ran that's why it was hard to debug too since that didn't throw any errors too.

Anyway I removed it in the latest commit and it should work fine now . Try rerunning the action or push anything.

@rocktimsaikia I just made some pushs, but It does not work yet. I saw that you forked the project that i'm using to test and I'm using the yml file just like yours, but still not works.

@Wurthma That's really a strange issue as it's working on the other demo repos. Anyway I will do a thorough test on the whole issue and let you know after that. And sorry for the late response; I am a bit busy with my internship.
