We can offer an option. Display it as Am instead of Aminor, which looks simpler

but there wasn't really an equivalent for major.
Should we let major be as is and only do this for minor?

I think a good practice is to be consistent with the chord symbols documented on Wikipedia

The footnote for the symbols Cmaj and CM say that these symbos are very rare and not used

CΔ is ambiguous because some people also use it for Cmaj7

I also think that using just the letter for the major chord (like C to imply C major) would be a bad idea as the individual notes are right above it in the UI and may cause confusion.

I am personally not opposed to calling it Cmaj
What are your thoughts?
