How to add EDID binary?

My 32" monitor only uses 3/4th of the total space, rest is a black invert L.
EDID info is broken when inside the mkosi PE but I can create an EDID bin from a booted Gnome OS and hope to load that?

I've tried both these locations but mkosi does not create the /edid directory or copy the edid binary over:

extra/arch/usr/lib/firmware/edid/lg2k.edid
mkosi.extra/usr/lib/firmware/edid/lg2k.edid

grep -i edid mkosi-debug.log shows no matches.
