i was thinking that instead of stretching the entire video, you could stretch only the last column of pixels on either side of the video to fill up the black bars. this would be useful for ultrawide and/or Oled monitors. I'm thinking that a simpler version would have a stretched video and put it under the same video with its original aspect ratio. it can probably be done in the super-advanced settings too.
if anyone wants to look into this that will be appreciated. the closest reference I can get to what I'm talking about is the ambient light for youtube plugin, which adds a blurry effect to the sides of youtube videos to fill in the black bars.
