This wiki is there to provide somewhat detailed description of the features this extension offers, as well as how to use them.
The technology has been here for a while, but plenty of people don't know how to properly encode a video (despite the fact youtube has an article that explains aspect ratios). Plenty of people surprisingly includes major Holywood studios, such as Marvel, Disney, Dreamworks, Warner Brothers, Sony, et cetera. You'd think that this is the one thing Holywood studios and people who make music videos for a living would know how to do right, but they don't. This extension is here to fix that.
Extension is being tested in Firefox and Chrome and is officially published in their respective addon stores.
However, you should be able to use it in any Chromium-based browser that allows installing extensions from Chrome Web Store (e.g. Opera and new Chromium-based Edge).
- Non-chromium-based Edge.
That browser is going away soon anyway and I'm not paying €15 for the privilege of publishing my extension for a browser that's completely broken anyway. If you gotta use Edge for 4K netflix, use Chromium-based version of Edge instead and install Ultrawidify from the Chrome store.
