Feature Request - Progress bar under the books

ouch... that's a tricky one.

For technical reasons, the progress-bar, book icon, % text and edit-icon are all part of the same component used on more than one page. The same thing is true for the simple "read-yes/no" style.

It's not impossible (it's all just software of course) but not a 5 minute job I'm afraid.

I'm not saying no, but this will have to go on the back-list for now.

I took a look at my code.... this is not going to happen. As mentioned, all elements for read-progress / read-status are contained in a single UI element. Splitting them up would be too much work.

ah, wait a second... your original request was not for the book-detail view at all. I may have misunderstood.

You're asking to add the progress-bar on the list-view. That's a different story: the component usage mentioned before is not used on the list-view as editing progress is not supported there, there was no need to do so.

In non-tech terms: the list-view is showing a simple text field for performance reasons.
Adding edit-functionality would have made scrolling the list rather slow (I tried it at the time, not good).

Back to your question:
Adding a progress-bar in that location is easy to do. That's the good news. But I'm not sure it's a good idea, as the more "things" shown on the individual books on the list-screen... the slower the scrolling becomes.
But to be fair, I did not try this yet.

that was an easy test. It has no effect on performance. I've added it, but as per your second image above, I prefer consistency across screens as much as possible.
