Issue with sorting and style

When you are sorting for author, then series, books with editor but no author are not displayed.
I do have 63 books entered but above list shows only 60 books. As I deactivated the author type all books are Show.

I think I can reproduce this.

Can you please check the settings for that style.
If you have cloned/customized the " author, then series" settings, open from the main menu the "Bookshelf styling" and then your customized style, or else from the global Settings, the "Style" -> Edit default settings.

In the style settings, scroll down to the "Author" category and find the option "Primary author type". I suspect you will have it set on either the "Writer" or "Illustrations". The immediate solution for you will be to deselect both; so the setting becomes "None".

That should make those books visible again.

That particular setting was really meant for comic collectors, allowing them to use either the writer or the artist as the primary.
But it seems there is a bug there for the situation you describe.

Please let me know if what I describe is indeed solving the issue.

I found the issue in my code, but will need some time to prepare a real solution.
But as explained, unless you're a comics collector, that option should just be set to "None". And yes, I should document this properly 🥺

As such I will not create a new release for now, but will aim to fix it in the next 'normal' release.

I'll keep this issue open until it's fixed.
