Are Firefox themes broken in 1.14 versions?

As of 1.14b and 1.14.1b I have not been able to see the effects of any Firefox themes. I've had no problem using any of them until now. Anyone else have that issue or or a temporary fix, CSS or anything else that works? The Zen mod store only has one mod that maybe helped but it does nothing now and I never really needed it to run Firefox themes. Been using since later Alpha versions and never had this issue.

I thought I'd check here first and not add to the mountain of issues hah! I will say, however, I can now get a completely black Zen start page with white Zen text and orange logo without touching CSS...finally! Thank you for that! I just love playing around with the setup to see what's doable. Forgot to mention I'm on Windows.

Of course no one answered you. I guess they've taken the firefox themes away it looks like. I had to move to a different browser

To be fair, as of testing 1.14.5b, I've got most of it back but yeah, I'm primarily still on 1.13.2.b where I have the update toasts/prompts, auto checks, and installs totally disabled. Couldn't stand the constant harrassment lol. It works with everything and much smoother than the latest drop which now has other new non GUI functional issues. Keeping my eye open for the next island of compatibility/stability version...

Just so you know, they really did do away with Firefox themes, and the developer is proud of that fact. He actually boasts about it in a post. The customization is what made Zen popular, but now the developer wants to do away with that and go in a different direction. I just quit using it all together now. If the developer has a change of heart, I'll come back to it, but for now, there's really not much that Zen can do for me that something like Floorp can't handle.

Lucky for me I can fiddle with the CSS and pretty much restore anything once I figure out what changed. The only thing I'm missing now is my custom hover colors which, to be fair, I've back burnered searching for the code change but I'll get around to it again eventually as I've got it half way there. I actually did restore the ability to add firefox themes but I'm missing a change or two because the settings get lost after a browser restart but it's fixable.

The best thing I ever did was to back up all my profiles before and after each change since later Alpha versions. 1.13.2b was the last version with full Firefox theme compatibility so it's my goto for junk browsing because I can't trust the security or stability of this browser for anything serious...yet! It will have to get there eventually or be relegated to the dustbin of history.

As for design decisions, there is nothing new here, just a copycat of ARC browser which I find hideous. To each their own. I can always return to Firefox and be happy. At least I can no longer be force upgraded. Looks like the authors tried that too with the latest release but sorry, no forced upgrades for me!
