Browser homepage

When I first install the browser, there was normal browser homepage with search bar when you open a new tab like all other borwsers but now when I open a new tab, search bar suddenly appears in the middle of the screen to enter an url , instead of opening a new homepage. Am I just one who lives that problem or is it ridiculously removed?

You're not alone—this is an intentional change in Zen Browser. Starting with version 1.7.5b, the traditional homepage/new tab page was replaced with a floating search bar in the center, similar to Arc browser. This isn't a bug, and many users have reported the same experience and confusion about the change (source).

If you prefer the old homepage/new tab style, you can restore it by going to about:config and setting zen.urlbar.replace-newtab to false. This setting isn't available in the regular settings menu, so you'll need to use about:config to change it (source).

Many users have requested that this option be made easier to find in the main settings, so you’re definitely not the only one who misses the old behavior.
