On Linux, Zen browser's context menus follow GTK theming, so mismatches between your system's GTK and KDE Plasma themes can cause the menu to appear with the wrong colors. There isn't a direct setting in Zen or in To fix this, you can adjust your GTK theme: in KDE Plasma, go to Settings → Global Theme → Application Style → (three-dot menu) → Configure GNOME/GTK Application Style, and pick a GTK theme that matches your browser's look. This usually resolves color mismatches in context menus details. If you're using the Flatpak version, another workaround is to set the GTK_THEME environment variable to empty for Zen. You can do this with:
This forces Zen to use the default GTK theme, which often resolves context menu theming issues details. Currently, there's no way to customize the context menu color via user CSS or browser settings; changes have to be made at the system or environment level. To reply, just mention @dosu. How did I do? Hi, and thank you for this great project.
I'm currently using Zen browser on Arch Linux, and I’ve noticed that the right-click context menu appears white, which doesn’t match the rest of the browser’s theme.
I searched online for a solution, and while I found some posts about changing menu colors on macOS, they didn’t apply to my case. I also explored
about:config
and experimented for a while, but couldn’t locate the setting responsible for this. Here’s a screenshot of how it currently looks:

Is there a way to change this context menu color—either manually or by making it follow the system/browser theme?
Any tips would be appreciated!
