CertExtractor is a small Windows tool that helps you extract digital certificates from files – easily, quickly, and with no fuss.
Just drag in a file or folder, and CertExtractor will find and save all embedded X.509 certificates – including full certificate chains. No command-line magic needed.

- Add multi-language support (starting with English)
- Review and improve current German UI texts
- Start CertExtractor.
- Pick an output folder for the certificates.
- Select files or a folder using the buttons – or just drag & drop.
- The extraction starts automatically.
- Check the output folder – you'll find
.cerfiles in PEM format for each certificate.
Note: There's no “Start” button – processing kicks off as soon as files are selected.
- Windows 10 (build 1809) or newer
- .NET 8 Runtime installed
Just download the latest version from the Releases page and run the .exe.
No installation needed – it's fully portable.
