Live Captions VR Overlay v0.0.3
This update integrates Parakeet-tdt-0.6b-v2, NVIDIA’s latest state-of-the-art (SOTA) English-only AI speech recognition model. After initial testing, it seems to dramatically reduce hallucinations compared to the Whisper Large v3 Turbo model. The optional two-step Gladia API validation has been deprecated to support fully offline voice transcription. This update also introduces an independent Desktop mode as an alternative to the built-in Live Captioning feature in Windows 10/11. This is WIP project please test thoroughly and provide feedback.
The standalone portable version has been compressed with free 7-Zip software. To avoid any issues with .7z archives, I advise installing the free official 7-Zip software for Windows, available here.
7-Zip features a more efficient compression algorithm than WinRAR, offering a higher compression ratio. While .7z files can technically be extracted using WinRAR software, I have encountered occasional Unknown Error messages, even though the extraction process was successful. To ensure smooth extraction, I strongly recommend using the official 7-Zip software.
Hearing AID VR Overlay v0.0.2
