Hey @jelemux, any chance you'd know how to update this for the latest versions (or could point someone who has never worked in this ecosystem before in the right direction?)

@DomenicF honestly, this has been my first time updating a plugin like this as well and I'm pretty sure, I forgot most of it already. I guess, I mostly looked at the diffs of previous updates and the official IntelliJ plugin development guide. I remember this update containing some breaking changes in the plugin API and Java + gradle version compatibility. Hopefully, future updates will be easier again.

You can fork my branch and try to do it or otherwise maybe I'll try it once I find time and motivation. Chances that I'll do it are pretty slim, though.
