Here's a clean branch we can work off of to replace #3428
I applied the change from
listtoListfor backwards compatibility as wellAs I mentioned I think there's a bit more to do here. The setup process breaks due to pyyaml not being available.
I fought for a while and got it working for installing through pip from git by adding the pyproject.toml file but I couldn't get the publication process for pypi to run properly when we went to publish a temporary version for our sdk release.
